Crap I do not and will not ever miss from Japan: my shitty kitchen. I didn’t even remember how bad it was until I found this picture tonight. Although it did help me prepare many a typhoon feast.

Chinsuko, Okinawan cookies that are a popular souvenir.
I don’t know what it is about them, but I am a bit obsessed with these. Even though I’m not always big on sweet stuff, I could easily eat an entire bag. It’s hard to describe the flavor, too. They’re kind of like graham crackers, but kind of not. But whatever the reason, they’re addictive.

Sayonara…almost.
It’s almost been exactly a year since I left Japan. Although I still have a huge backlog of Okinawa/Japan photos to put on Tumblr, I will likely be uploading more to my new Tumblr, clouds hug mountains which I was neglecting while living in Washington D.C. this fall, but will now be devoting more attention to.
If you like snow, animals, mountains, trees, nature etc etc…feel free to follow me there.
Posted pictures of two super cute gyaru shop staff from Tokyo Sky Tree’s mall Solomachi.
